First off the its a 92 talon tsi mods list is up to date but if i start the car completely cold it will start right up but after like 2 or 3 mins it will sound like its missing then go completely lean. Its not a boost leak because thats what i thought and fixed every single one. Not an exhaust leak because thats also what i thought it was because it had a huge crack in a tubular manifold i had and replaced that and still didnt fix the problem. So if somebody could just help me out it would make my day ive had this car for almost a year and ive drove it 50 miles

Lean not enough fuel what do your fuel trims show on your logger, missing could be coil pack, or injectors, spark plugs, spark plug wires, i would start there, kinda hard to tell you much. You say its missing, and running lean.

the fuel trims just say 100% for all of them. I was thinking on the logger it says i have 11.6 battery voltage when the cars off when the battery is fully charged and got it tested and it tested good. When i start the car the voltage only goes to like 13.3-12.7 could this be my problem. The fuel pump is rewired to the battery if that helps.

Im not sure. Im pretty sure the ecu will lean it out as it gets hotter because the air charge will be hotter in the cylinders which means less oxygen. Less oxygen means less fuel to maintain A/F ratio. However I dont know if the ECU has a safety that makes it richen things up if it thinks its overheating in order to prevent knock. What Im thinking is that maybe the sensor works properly under a certain temp then just peggs out sending things haywire.

But my coolant temp on the logger does not jump or anything. But that completely makes sense. thanks

It will cycle for like 30 seconds then it will dip down then flatline then if i rev it will cycle for like 5 seconds then flat line again. The wideband gauge does the same thing.

No but i did test it by putting gas in a rag and putting the sensor on it and it went completely rich until the gas evaporated.

Those sensors read oxygen, not hydrocarbons; putting gas on it is not really a valid test.

With the engine management system you have (or lack of) you need a narrowband O2 sensor to achieve 14.7 AFRs.

I am having the same problem in my 92 laser rs. idles fine on a cold start up. but when it gets warmer my A/F leans out to 16.7-17.4 then wants to cut off. Mod list is up to date. Im tired of this problem so any help would be great!

PS. i was having coolant temp sensor problems before this all started to happen. but i fixed the frayed wire that was causing the problem. I think:pray:. ill have pix on the way.

Were is your wideband located?

Have you checked your exhaust manifold for cracks? the 1g exhaust manifold by now is pretty much guaranteed to be cracked.

double check your coolant sensor.

According to your mod list you have no wideband, and you wish for new front upper control arms? For your 92 GSX?

My wideband is located in my dash cluster.(taking the place of the stock op gauge)
The exhaust mani. Is a 2g manifold and when I replaced my turbo months ago there were no cracks that i could find. Coolant sensor was replaced when I put the new rad. In.

O damn!:ohdamn: Sorry about that I fixed it. But I couldn't find where is says 92 GSX. Though.

Here are a couple pix.:thumb:

I dont know what i said to make y'all stop posting. but im really lost here, and need some help. can anybody help me out here? please! i havent driven my car for the past 2 1/2 months. (my only mode of transportation)

Am i going to have to trace the coolant temp wires all the way back to the ECU to see if there is a short in the line?
Or could it be a fuel pump/filter problem?
