[RESOLVED] what is this part?

I found a couple pictures that show the part in question. it is the brass canister to the left of the crank pulley near oil filter. it has a single wire going to it with a connection. what is this part? mine tends to drop the wire



One more thing that is a bit off topic. Center Dash bezel... under the ac vent controls... the button with a light on it and what appears to be a snowflake? what is that for? it turns green when you push it when it just sits there stickin out it has a white/yellow light on constant... even with key off ignition off is that normal?

oil pressure sending unit...about that compressor button i would actually have to go check out the color of the light

Snowflake button is the a/c compressor on/off switch. I don't think it should stay lit without the key turned on.

A/C on/off switch. Shouldn't light with key off.

alright ty... i was thinkin that was oil pressure just wasnt 100% sure. and for the ac switch... can i just unplug it and leave it since A. i have no belt on my ac and B. i think the bearing went out on it from what previous owner said and im going to remove it completely
