You do not want a lower temperature thermostat. If your engine is running hot, you need more radiator. A low temp thermostat will keep your engine from attaining operating temperature.

sorry to bring back from the dead, I asked this is my other post as well with no response as of yet, Is it possible that a 160*F low temp thermostat,will cause my car to run rich all the time?
 
My car ran 9s all day on the dyno, WOT and normal driving, so your saying this is possibly the cause of all my problems?
