I was just curious what everybody used to take the tarmat off of the floorboard when they went to do their cage. Iv always just used a torch and a spatula and its seemed to work really good. I was just wondering what everybody else used and if theres any easier way. Shoot out the ideas :hellyeah:

When we installed my friends cage in his 2G, we just used an air compressed angle grinder with some heavy duty sander disc and only removed the tarmat from the areas that we would be welding the cage too, seemed to work like a charm for us.

mine came out pretty easily. I had to take it out of the rear speaker areas to fit some new speakers in and all it took was a chisel and a few taps with a hammer.
