I have aftermarket sideskirts on my car, and I want to take them off. They are glued really well to the rear quarter panel, and I want to remove them without screwing up the sideskirts, the quarterpanel, or the paint. If you guys have any suggestions or tips as to how to rip these things off with care, holla back.

Depending on the type of glue you can carefully use a heat gun to remove them. Another option is use a really thin piece of metal(scraper) covered by a cloth to seperate the skirt from the body. The later option is a liitle more scary since you could scratch the paint.

Well, After a bit of recon, I realized there is no way in hell I would be able to get them off without damaging them. I just decided to rip them off. The glue is still on the car, so I will try heat later to get it off. Thanks for the help guys.

Ya, well, now I have the problem of not being able to get a hold of the sideskirts I want. If anyone wants to get rid of their 97-99 eclipse sideskirts let me know! Thanks again guys.

Well, just got back from the body shop... found out the guy I bought the car from used this urethane to glue it on there... The same stuff that is used to glue windows onto cars. That will never come off with goo gone or anything so the shop is just gonna hafta grind it off and repaint it

Oh well....
