Hey guys, I am in the process of replacing a bad differential side seal and I cant get past the part where I get the axle out of the differential. The axle popped right out of the hub with no problem at all, but I cant get it out of the differential for the life of me. I have been prying at green part with my crowbar for hours and it doesnt even seem to have any effect. I have read of people hammering screwdrivers and wook chisels in to pop the circlip off allowing them to remove it. My question is...is this the correct location to wedge a thin tool into?

I know its possible to damage the oil seal by doing this, but I am replacing it anyways so that doesnt matter. I just wanted to make sure that I will not damage anything else by doing this...hopefully. Thanks for the help guys I really appreciate it :thumb:

Well, you have the arrow directly pointed at the axle seal. All it takes is a prybar and a simple "pop" between the rear diff case and the axle cup. If you can't seperate it, get a bigger prybar.
