Still trying for clear answer on this question.
Should I remove front and rear sway bars for a 1/4 mile track only car.Any fast guys please say if you have taken yours off. And realize they might cause problems on the street if you remove them but again car is trailer to track only car.

I've rode in and driven a few cars without them, including my own... Its not that big of an issue on the street unless you are on the freeway at high speeds.

At the track if you are trapping 120+ the car gets a little loose when hitting the brakes after the trap.

No need to remove them to find out... Take off the end links and go for a cruise and see how you like the feel. Some people get nervous, I got use to it after driving it for awhile.

rear swaybar aids in keeping rear tire contact with the pavement when launching at the strip.....upgrade rear sway even better. On the road course many guys in front and AWD cars eliminate the front bar entirely in order to rotate the car easier and rid understeer. Just my .02

Rear bar=NO

Front bar=only if you are going for that last bit of weight reduction, otherwise there is no advantage

My notes show the front swaybar and endlinks weigh 8 pounds.

I'm driving on the street with no swaybars, but I also have nice stiff coilovers, shocks, and good alignment to make up for it. I'm trapping at 133mph with no drama yet.

ST rear swaybar and endlinks weigh 14 pounds.
