I just got new tires for my car 225/45/17 with Tien S tech 1.75 drop and now on bumps and hard turns the tires rub the fender. I was wondering if there was really anything I could do? Please help thanks!

I have some similar sized tires and was experiencing some rear tire rub. I wound up taking a bat and rolling out the rear quater panels. Worked great and is very easy to do. Hope it helps you, and btw, don't cut the metal lip, I heard its a body seam and would very bad to cut off.

honestly i dont know...they are Arospeed RS-GT 17x7.5 rims and i dont wanna bend my fender it will have to goo too far out and mite crack my paint i mite make some spacer between the shock tower and body...any other suggestions? what about selling these tires for a different size?

For the Fender Roll Out, out the bat in the fender between the wheel and the metal body and have a friend slowly roll the car back and forth while you push the bat down and it will push the metal lip up. Once you try it you will see what I mean, it is very easy to do. Just push the car back and forth and it will move the bat along the body.

Good Luck!

One thing about that article that really bugs me (because I can't for the life of me figure out how a smart guy would make such a silly mistake) is where it says that adding negative camber might cause (extra) interference between the tire and knuckle. This is just plain nutz because the tire and knuckle always move together.

My other quibble is minor.... When you're cutting it close, you can't ignore the fact that the rear knuckle wraps around the upper inside corner of the tire, such that smaller tires can run higher offsets. Since the limiting factor on the inside is the rear knuckle, this is very important. You want the highest offset that doesn't rub (both to save your wheel bearings and to keep from having to go wider around slalom cones; going farther on this last point, I'm not convinced that 275/40/17 or 285/30/18 is really better than 245/45/16 when the [autocross] course includes a lot of slaloms, but I might change my mind if I ever sort out my engine).
