so I got my clutch and getting my flywheel sometime next week cleaned up the transmission and used sandpaper to get all the crap off the input shaft to get it all smooth and shiny again. Do I need to do anything else before I put this back in? (A friend had mentioned to put white lithium grease on the input shafts) and I have the FSM but cant find anything in it about lubing stuff up before putting it back in.

Yes, use a small amount on the bore of the throwout/release bearing and maybe a bit on the input shaft as well. Not so much as to cause any grease to get thrown around when everything's in motion, but enough to keep it from being dry.

Look in the FSM again. In the diagram for flywheel/clutch area it will point to the places to be lubed.

I believe it's the input shaft+splines, clutch fork fork end and middle of fork where pivot ball pivots. Back of the TOB where fork contacts. Pivot ball. End of fork where slave cylinder rod sits in. Make sure you have that step height on the flywheel set correctly and when you pick it up ask them what they set it to.

I bought an act off someone on here with less than 1k miles, he switched to a twin clutch disk and didnt need it. e Finally found the page in the FSM and a part Im not sure about says..."apply a coating of the specified grease to the clutch disc spline, and then use a brush to rub it in"

So that means grease/lube on the splines on the clutch?

So that means grease/lube on the splines on the clutch?
Yeah, where it meshes with the splines of the input shaft. Or you could put grease on the input shaft instead/as well. Same thing in the end.
