hey guys, i just got finished rebuilding my 92 Laser after blowing a headgasket..my mods are as follows:

rebuilt 6bolt, stock 7.8 compression and 1g rods, ARP rod bolts, new main and rod bearings, no balance shafts....rebuilt head, 4 layer metal HG, manley SS intake and exhaust valves, manley spring and retainer kit, 3g lifters, new valve seals, hks 272s or fp2s.... ported e16g w/ 34mm flapper,SBR cast manifold, JR 10.5 fmic, tial bov, 3" maf w/ translator, walboro 255, fic 650s, aeromotive afpr with -6 inlet and outlet lines, act 2600 - street disk, dsmlink

i was wondering what kinda rpms would it be safe to rev up to after the motor is broken in and also what boost should i run for everyday driving and track days??

thanx alot

I would say 20 psi daily with a good tune and 25 psi at the track with some race gas. That head should be able to handle 8000-8500 rpms....but that turbo might not breathe to well up there.

I agree with Steve, the head should be good for 8500 no problem.
