I was performing a boost leak test and I noticed that air was coming out of the valve cover breather. Should this be capped off during the test or do I have some kind of internal leak (rings, etc...)? Thanks!

Can I get a second on this diagnosis? I am planning to do a compression test this weekend. Any estimates on costs to replace blown rings?

They are probably not blown, just worn. The engine would have to come apart and hone and rering at the minimum. Cylinders might be worn and need to be bored and honed which requires new pistons and you might as well do a complete rebuild at that point. Just do a copression test and leakdown test if possible. This will tell you the true condition of the engine.
