Wow, i was talking to Jeff at DSMchip and I was telling him how I could not find anyone to socket my ECU. He informed me about a shop that could do it hee in WA. So I called the number and talked to Andre at PINA motorsports, and come to find out. This is a full blown DSM shop. The guy was damn cool and very informative. I told me to visit www.pinamotorsports.com Granted Kent is a few hundred miles away, I still felt dumb knowing this place was in my owne back yard and I did not even know. I wanna go check em out. Has anyone heard of this place or been there before? The gy sounded like he know alot regarding Tuners ect. :thumb:

I heard that they make a killer o2 dump and exhaust related stuff. Theres a thread about it somewhere here methinks.

they were real friendly and informative. I am thinkink of going over there instead of mailing my ECU. I wanna bring some cash in case I see something I like

Was wondering of anyone had been there before or done any buisness through there before. I am still shocked I never knew they were there

All my business goes through Andre and Nick (NDGSX) at Pina Motorsports. They have been around DSMs for years and can fabricate, tune, and install anything you need. Look for a brand new website in the next week ( Working on it right now). Their exhausts are amazing too, Matt Poppoff's exhaust & O2 and Nick Drake's custom 3" tubular O2 both are works of art.

Don't feel too bad, we aren't exactly the kings of advertising. We're too busy working in the shop to spend much time online.
I'm the one that does all the mechanical work/tuning, Andre owns the shop (ie pays rent), takes care of the retail end, and does all the fabrication.
We don't keep a lot of aftermarket parts in stock, there are usually too many cars in the shop for us to stock a lot of products. We get most things in a day or two.

That would be my car :)

Ever since i moved up here, i dont know where i would be without Andre and Nick at PINA. Even though they kind of suggest weird things to do to your car, Its all good. My car has been at PINA more days than ive actually driven it this year. But i know its in good hands and is going to be done quick, and the right way. I visit the shop at least once a week now. Even though theres still work to be done on the car, i have too much fun driving it.

Last night me and Nick went out to do tuning with PINA"s wideband and now its perfectly tuned, and the car feels faster now than it did last year on c16. Im really stoked to go out and race it tomorrow.

Thanks Nick And Andre :thumb:

:thumb: wow. And and after hearing all this, it is all the more reason we should support a shop like this. I am a huge fan of www.f2uning.com . Steve and Ben are amazing. And Jason's knowledge about cars, turbocharging, nitrous, and car setup, is enough to make most people stagger.

But I have to say, after the phone call I had with Andre, I am damn impressed by PINA motorsports all DSM shop. I dunno about everyone else, but I will be more than happy to spend my money there. In a few weeks , I go to Wenatchee for some installs. I think I will take a day, and just swing my ECU over there and check them out on my own :thumb: :D

F2uning is great at fabing stuff, and building sick stuff for cars, but they aren't very good at tuning. If your gonna have your car tuned take it to PTR injection. I've seen F2uning blow to much stuff up because of poor tuning, but other wise they can build some awesome stuff. Now PTR, they have a 10 sec VW rabbit that may be hitting 9's this year, and all the engine internals are stock. No aftermarket internals, thats what happens when you can tune your stuff so perfectly. And those internals lasted all last season, and going on this season, even survived a 30psi pass.

go ask Kirk where he learned alot of his info. = Jason

BTW, ptr did the SDS in my brothers A2. He left all the stock wiring in the car, did not even zip tie it. last week it caught fire. Actually you live close to my brother, you should check out his car and the work that was done to it

and BTW, best time I saw out of Chris's rabbit was an 11. Either way the car was VERY impressive, for what it is. I dunno, every VW I have seen run any real times, was also real willing to tear you off the side of a road

Khalid,
Aren't you parting out your car because you don't know what the #### you're doing? I just heard that from a little bird, I get dibs on your ultra-blingin Niche rims diggity dawg.

My car is at PINA right now getting some parts fabbed up. If you live in the Northwest, it's the only stop you need to make for any work or parts for your DSM. Andre can fabricate anything you can think up and Nick could tune a horse if you needed him too... :thumb:

Well thats funny, I've seen the timeslips for 10's. And you probably seen it before he built the tube chassis for it. The stock frame couldn't handle the power and it was twisting the front of the car so much it would pop his hood. Once he got the tube chassis in he was running 10's.

But I guess its better if you just blow your engine every 1/4mile run huh? because thats all I've seen out of the F2uning cars, that and their shit talking about how they are gonna hit 9's, but they haven't even been close yet, if their cars would make it more then 1 run, then they may get into the 9's.

hmm blow my engine? Anh what car did you see that happen to, or excuse me what cars?
flat out I am talking about a real experience about a install that looked like it was done by a five year old. I actually like Chris's car. And I can care less about a race car. Fact is, you do not see it on the street everyday, and that is for a reason. It is a race car.

I do not question anyones ability to tune, and to be honest, your in no position to do that either. I have seen cars on both ends, and i look at it like this. F2uning all motor civic in 10s, and that is all motor. That is nothing to sneeze at by any means.

And aren't you the guy whos car is still broken? ;)

Actually I'm just waiting for an ECU, and have been for a long time. 90 Eprom = hard to find.

Also F2uning has blown up so many of their cars. Their cars make 1 run and blow up, sometimes 2 runs. And its because of poor tuning, their cars are sputtering down the track, and then blow up. They make some great stuff, and build some sweet shit, but their tuning abilities :thumbdown , or at least they use to be, maybe they got better, who knows.

And as for chris's car, it was running 11's when it was his street car.

like i asked, what cars blew up? Only car I knew that blew was Jasons TSI, and it was in mid 11s with a 16g on a stock bottom end with 130k on it. He even knew it was gonna go. So still not sure what you are talkin about but ok :thumb: At any rate, you can go start a thread for trash talkin shops somewhere else man. Or do you have somethin to say about PINA motorsports too? :D

Never been to PINA, so I have nothing to say about them.

the SR20 blew a few times, the honda had a lot of problems before, not to mention some of the people I have talked to about their engine managment they got from F2uning. And why did I keep hearing about the twin turbo 4 runner that they couldn't get running right? Oh, and how about they aren't the ones that built the 4 runner anyways, but they still take credit for it. They got it to tune it, and they couldn't get it running.

I don't really care, F2uning is great for everything except I would be a little worried about their engine management tuning, maybe they got it down now, if they did, then they would be an awesome shop. I'm not trying to say they suck, because they don't, just their tuning department was having problems before, but if you say their good now, maybe they are, but I still preferr PTR over F2uning because I've seen and heard so many good things about their tuning abilities.

My cars don't see the shops anyways, I do all my own work, when I do get engine management, thats probably the only shop time my car will see.

that sr20 is now one of tha fastest FWD nissans in the country.

4 runner was not running right, cause they wanted to avoid o ringing the block, witch they ended up doing. It has worked out so well that, another toy was shipped over for the same thing. It is the one pic of of the intak they built for it ect on the site. Fact is they are not the ones that started the first 4 runner. No other shop could get it running. It was brought to f2uning, to have them turn chicken shit into chicken soup. And it worked. The plenum and intake on the one brought over was crap. It did not hold enough volume, and was made to look cool. so they are workin on http://www.f2uning.com/pages/1/page1.htm?refresh=1082088388444another one now for the next toy
