ok so i found a Forrester smim for cheep and i have a lot of friends running this manifold on their car and it performs great...
i guess my question is this: if i decide to buy this manifold would it help or hurt me on my current setup?

current set up:
stock block with arp head studs
stock head
fp 18g
obx exhaust mani (cracked runner but trying to find replacement mani or fix this one?)
660 injectors
wally 255
afrp
safc
2g mas with injen intake
3'' turbo back exhaust
and a logger with aem wb o2

everyone imput is use to me wether bad or good thanks to all :thumb:

well im running about 15psi right now but i can run higher... i have been stayin out of boost since the exhaust leak... trying to find the cash and time to replace or fix it... want to find a fp race manifold...

Well if its a real Forrester it would be cast and sheet metal. Are you going to be reving this car pretty high? The stock manifold flows pretty well, I found an extrude hone for for a good deal I picked up. So is the Forrester a good manifold to run? Yes. Will you really need it on that setup? Probably not until you flow more air.

It might help a little in the higher RPMs but hurt you down low. With your boost levels, I would spend that money elsewhere to be honest. Use that money to get a new exhaust manifold and/or a FMIC.

Hope this helps!

I woulldn't get it. Your not flowing enough air to see the maximum potential you can get out a SMIM. Like stated above you will lose torque down low and gain power up top. Just spend that money on a good manifold and get rid of that OBX mani.

you will loose tq.

you will increase lag.

you will decrease throttle response.

There is little to no gain to be had from a smim with your air flow requirements.

There is only losses to be had. Tq under the curve is what makes your car fast, NOT PEAK HP!@

well the guy sold the one i was gonna buy.... only reason i was gonna put it on right away is because i didnt want it just sitting around my house... depresses me when see better parts just collecting dust... im gonna replace the exhaust manifold very soon and the fmic is coming very soon... stupid bills keep getting in my way

thanks guys i really appreaciate the feed back
