Pan American Nationals @ Atco Raceway, NJ 19-21 July!

So the Pan American Nationals are coming up this weekend at Atco Raceway in New Jersey. I have been to this event the last 2 years and it is by far one of the best drag racing events I have ever witnessed and it happens to be 4 & 6 cylinder and rotary motors only. The only other event that's better is the World Cup Finals: Import vs Domestics. As far as racing goes, it takes the DSM/Evo Shootout and kicks it in the face.

13B and 20B rotaries running 6s, 2JZs running 6s, SR20s, 2RZs, 3S-GTEs, and even several cars rocking 4G63s, including Jerry Racing's 7-second 1980 Corolla. Just a ton of methanol-burning, RWD, short wheelbase cars with little engines rocking huge wheelie bars tearing up the dragstrip! It's truly ridiculous and awesome!

If you're in the area and have never been to this event, I would HIGHLY recommend coming out and checking this out for yourself.

This is a bracket racing event. I always knocked bracket racing until I saw this event. A 6.80 dial vs. a 6.90 dial is practically heads up and the races where the dials are further apart just make the racing more crazy. Also, even though it's dangerous to the drivers and I never want to see drivers hurt, some of the most epic drag racing crashes I've ever seen came at this event!

I always wonder how may people here actually come to the Pan Americans. No awd, and most of them become disinterested. There are plenty of exciting 4G63's representing, so that alone should spark lots of interest. Fanny Racing, El Nazi, Boost Boyz Racing, Jerry Racing, The Doctor, El Terror, The New Karioka, and a few more will be in attendance 4G63 equipped and ready for some 7 second action.

I would have loved to have brought my drag car to race there this weekend. Unfortunitly I have a wedding that I have to go to.
