Hey guys finishing up my project. Went with a tubular manifold. It sticks out towards the radiator a little more than the factory cast manifold. I already had to re-run my exhaust to compensate for it. Now my oil return line seems a hair to short. I can get it up there to fit I think, but it's going to be alot of pressure on the manifold and im affraid it will crack over time. Any ideas on how to solve this? Im in need of some answers. Thanks

I had this problem for a little while until I got my evo mani. Unless you buy a braided line, its a had situation to make it fit. If you force it, that return line is going leak (like they dont tend to that anyway). I made my own by sawing off both ends with the fittings, leaving about an inch and a half of the metal piping, and used Napa's High temp heater hose. I just slid the ends of the hoses over the metal piping like a sleeve, added some high temp silicone, and two worm clamps. Works great, and makes an easy removal in the future, by just loosening the clamps and sliding the hose off. Held up great with no problems. Just make sure you have the right length; not too long of hose area to create a collecting area before reaching the pan. Just an thought, hope it helps.

I would trust braided stainless over a heater hose. I had to do a quick fix for my water line in my oil filter housing and used some of the same stuff and the line melted within a day. Its hot down there.

Heater hose works just fine. Rated for high temp. and pressure. Since it is the return line there is no pressure hardly and it doesn't really get hot enough down there to melt the line. I run this setup in every car I have modified because it's simple, easy and cheap.
