My 92 tsi will not hold charge to the battery. It is a optima battery that is only 3 months old. I jump start it and it starts and will rev to about 500rpm and then kills. It was starting before and now it wont. Also when I have the key turned to accesories I hear a clicking noise from the panel behind the passenger door. I also get a good shock whenever I touch something in or on the car like the key or the door. I checked the main fuses and grounds and cannot find anything. Any one ever had this problem or think they can help?

I just bought this car 1 day ago so this is very depressing. I drove it from michigan to wisconsin and once i hit wisconsin the car wouldn't start without a jump. Please help!!

I had the battery hooked up to a battery charger over night and it was on trickle (2a) charge. The battery voltage stayed about the same. Its around 5.7v
I dont know how this can be, its a almost new optima battery. I drove for 700 miles 2 days ago so it should be charged up. Im thinking its the alternator, but why wont the battery charge. I checked all fuses and cant find a short or a power draw. Should I charge it at a faster rate (30a)?
I tried putting the charger on jump start and starting the car and when i tried turning it over i heard a pop like noise. Sounded like a large fuse blew or something. Any input would be nice. Thanks

Also It reads 5.7v when the key is turned on, tested from the battery with a volt meter. The battery reads 12.5v when not on. I can tell it doesnt have enough juice because the dash lights are dim ect.

Well I took the batery to advanced and they tested it and the battery is bad. I put in a different battery and now I have power but the car still will not start. I dont think its getting any fuel pressure because when I have the key turned on and I look at the fuel pressure guage its all the way down. I tried jumping it again with no sucess. The car has 650cc injectors and a rewired Walbro 255 lph fuel pump. The car sounds like it isnt getting any gas at all. Any suggestions?
