Glad I read this thread. I always felt the Subaru exhaust housing was lacking. The thought of wastegate gases mixing with turbine gases all in one chamber just makes me sick. Sadly, that is the reality for me.

Anyone have any counter-theories as to why Subaru went with a non-divided housing? And to make matters worse, their stock downpipe design only has an opening in front of the turbine wheel. The gases that come out of the wastegate see a wall of steel in front of them and have to make 2 90* turns to exit.
