no way to change timing?

my car is running very rich, it is no rare occurrence for it to back fire when shifting at mid to high rpm, and sitting at idle you would swear i have a evap leak, but it is coming from the exhaust. i just recently ported the intake manifold and the intake side of the head, and put 1mm o/s valves in, everything else is stock. i am assuming that has something to do with it. but, unlike my last two dsm's, this 95 doesnt have an adjustable cam sensor. so what do i do to adjust timing?

You could try an evo8 ecu... it's really a nice solution and it's FAR cheaper than the "alternatives" and it's not a piggy back.

Another option is a MAFT, but I believe their timing control is crappy like it does a percentage for each RPM and that means you ruin mid range's timing to make top end's good or vice versa... it's crap timing control if you ask me. What you really want to do timing properly is load based timing so you can adjust each cell for rpm x load. The cheapest way I know to do this for a 2g is with the evo8 ecu.
