alright fellas i swapped my 14b for a evo16g, my car ran fine before i swapped the turbo now when i go WOT an hit 4.5k it sputters an pops an smokes an you can smell the gas. I don't understand if anything i would think i would run lean, its doing this on stock wastegate boost running with no controller. only thing i can think of is my plugs arent cold enough anymore but i wouldnt think it would cause this any ideas?

Do a boost leak test, every time you touch turbo/intake track a boost leak test is always a good idea. What is your boost gauge telling you? Do you even have one? I didn't see it in your profile.

definately pressure test your intake system, sound like a boost leak.

Also, did I read that right? Are you not running a boost controller? Sure hope you are, b/c you are really wanting to build yourself a new motor if you aren't.
