i ordered mine from a friend of mine who bought his from them but ended up not ever instaling it =]

the bov i got on ebay from a private seller for a good price and name brand.

the downpipe and 02 housing i ordered offline i can't remember the name of the site currently.

And as it stands tonight the guy im getting the car from installed a 20g today....dont know if thats bad but he did. so oh well.

He said he turned up the boost controller to 98%and it only made 10.5lbs of boost......any clues to as why? i mean its gotta hve a boost leak

BOV maybe?

i was planning on it...im thinking its leaking in the system somehwhere. and im thinking if its after the air comes out of the turbo i could clear some of it up when i put my front mount on and new charge piping as well as a adaquate BOV.

If it still is then ill have to take a better look. But im going to wait till i get that on and see if it helps any.

should i stay with the 20g?

its very healthy. i checkd the shaft play and test drove it. only problem seemed to be that the car isnt making the boost that it should be.

Hoping some of the mods i am going to do will help to alieviate some of this.

I'm not sure how much bigger i want to go. right now the goal is 300hp.

If the 20g is internally gated then the flapper could be hung open partially also. Normally it still makes full boost like that, but a lot later in the rpm range. You can shim the WG actuator off the compressor housing some to preload the actuator and make sure the flapper is shut fully.

The 20g will be well over 300whp. You might want a smaller turbo that has less lag, however that is a good thing with FWD.

On a side note, you will want to look into some prothane motor mounts to reduce wheel hop. Stiffening up the front end with energy suspension bushings and lowering the car helps with that too and reduces torque steer.

I ran a 2G MAF (with tuner pro chip) on my 1G with a Tial BOV(obviously vented to atmosphere), and never had any idle issues. Of coarse with the BOV vented, big cams, and a lightened flywheel, it does take some finesse to drive. And BTW, dude, get ALL of your supporting mods before you upgrade the turbo. You say you have a FMIC on order. Get a pump, FPR, AFC, injectors, full exhaust, 2G ported manifold, before upgrading to a larger turbo. And for gods sake, make sure the car runs tip-top perfectly before you mod it.

im not upgrading the turbo......it has a tubular manifold on it.

im going to run a 3inch open downpipe. im not a full exhuast kind of guy sadly. im waiting to upgrade my fuel. i dont want to make 300 until next semester. Im going to run DSM link not afc. Gives me alot better way to make sure everything work with each other.
