Hey guys I've posted a few times, this is my first DSM pumped to get into it. For now I am just looking to get my car running well, clean up the engine bay. Then eventually work on the outside because that paint needs some work. Posting a couple of pics, feel free to pick them apart and tell me whats up. I have DSMlink, if you see any grime or oil on a few things probably because I am an idiot and let the oil cap blow off. A couple of questions I have are, is that a 1g intake manifold (I think it is), on the relocated oil cooler well it get in the way of a FMIC? I know there is a weird t-off going to the Hallman, its running to nothing dont know why?! Thanks guys for whatever you contribute. Check my bio for mods, and yah i know I need an AFPR.:ohdamn:

that's a 2g intake manifold.

get rid of that T in your mbc line.

you can install a fmic kit, and either relocate the oil cooler, easily... or just tuck it between the a/c condensor/fmic kit.

EDIT: Beat me to it.

Well it looks like your off to a good start, with that 6 bolt engine you got the 1g BOV as well as the 14b.
Got a laptop for link?

So you have a 6bolt block with a 2g head I assume...

Yah I tried link with my mac, wasn't having it, so i picked up one of those net-books and its up and running not really sure how to work the program and everything about it. The plug wires are a given, MBC line?, I hope to have some 3rd gear pulls done by the next week.

I assume it is a 6-bolt with a 2g head, the guy I bought the car from is a good friend of one of my best friends, I doubt he was screwing me. But either way I have to get under the car and check on it now.

6bolt swap is always nice. Thats definitely a 2g intake mani which leads to believe it's a 2g head...

definitely get rid of the t into the BOV and boost controller, that'll make it so the BOV doesnt open fully.

run the line from the BOV straight to the left port on the intake manifold.

for gods sake do something with the spark plug wires

push the oil cooler to the driver's side fog light opening when you install a FMIC, it'll be tight but it's a great place to have it

clean that air filter or replace it ASAP

looks like you need to get a stock j pipe on there or even a nice aftermarket one

take some brake cleaner or engine degreaser to that entire engine bay and make sure you check over everything for leaks.

wash wax buff and repeat LOL

oh and your first buy needs to be an aftermarket boost gauge. Without that, I'd take off the boost controller and run wastegate pressure till you buy one so you dont kill that motor. stock gauges are so rediculously unreliable its not even funny

Thanks Fabian and yah I agree i have that MBC turned all the way loose so it should be running stock off the wastage, boost gauge and AFPR should be in by weeks end, not driving the car daily so not a big deal right now.
