What school has you getting a 3.8 GPA with that kind of design work? Clown college?

Here's a pro-tip from someone who actually *is* a graphic designer: Try keeping your type on a straight line, unless you're actively TRYING to make yourself look like you dropped a bunch of letters on a kitchen floor.

Just curious since you get such a great deal on printing (and I am not starting a fight)...do you work in EPP at a printshop? Electronic Pre-Press? I have done electronic pre-press, 8 color "Neo Graphic Design" award work and graphic design for 9 years (I am 35) and also was an 8 color UV press operator fo rmany of those years. So I am wondering how you get it so cheap? You must know someone cause UV coated work on both sides printed is NOT cheap at all...as for getting it cheaper than anyone? Wel,l damn thats a broad statement since I can do my own graphics, burn my own 8 color litho plates on a Cortron Stepper, hang them on an 8 color Heidleburg press and start printing my own at 12,000 sheets an hour! Cost? "Hey Boss, I am gonna "tail" these 8000 tri-fold broc's in the run for a "friend" after work. Cool?" Yeh, go ahead but hurry! In the printing and graphic design I have touched it all! I love running that press man! But it has been some time since I have been behind the console. Just curious thats all.

Ain't printing fun? About the only job besides composites that I liked and stuck with for years. I started out filing plates away in the beginning and went all the way to pre-press/graphic layouts and also working a drum scanner and then press operator....My press was a "Speed Master" also. I learned on a Akiyama though. Old press from Japan and definitely made for a Asian's smaller frame...no "auto clean" so you had to get UNDER the press after every run to clean cylinders. Biotch to clean.
Stick with it man. That is not a bad paying job. I left with a 21.75 an hour press rate!! Yes I left! I can ALWAYS go back though. But you are in the graphics end of it...the only other part of the department that made more than press operators! $$$
Just wanted to break the harshness of the post and thought I would ask you about this since it seemed you was in printing somehow or another.
Alrighty folks, sorry, back to the bumber discussion. Good luck Gunmetal.
