OK, my setup: 90 talon tsi, k&n, 3" exhaust with stock dp, walbro 255, B&M fpr and gauge, turbo xs mbc, safcII, ground wire kit, mmcd datalogging

Problems: 1: Apexi safcII setup: to get it to read the right rpm, i have to have it set on a 2cylinder, whys that? it reads accurate but its on 2 cyl. its on karman. everythings set up right i know it is ive been through it like 5 times initializing it every time. when i set it to 4 cyl, it reads around 400rpm too low so it idles at 350-375.

2: On the fpr, when i pull the vaccum line it doesnt move. its set at 41 right now. It stays the same wether the line is on or off, i thought with the line on it should read lower. is this right?

3: When doin tuning, and im tryin to tune out knock, should i just be adding fuel in the rpm range where im getting knock? or something else? at 17psi, my o2v is .85 all the way up and its getting no knock but im at +18% fuel from 3000 all the way up, and if i go above 20ish, i get fuel cut. where should i be at, ive been told with my setup i should be tuning for 18-19psi, and i cant do it without knock or fuel cut. how much knock is acceptable if any?

It's supposed to be on 2 cylinder.

The fuel pressure regulator should be lowering fuel pressure at idle and it should go up 37 psi when you disconnect the vacuum line. It doesn't sound like your regulator is working like it should. Where is the vacuum source coming from?

its coming off the factory fpr solenoid. its one of the ones that you cut the hat off the factory fpr, and this clamps over it, ive been doin some lookin around and cant find anyone who has run one, so i dont know how reliable it is, but it was free. and ya, i figured out the 2cyl thing just a minute ago, what about tuning the knock out?

Just got rid of the B & M fuel pressure guage, Will not adjust down at all no matter how you set it, Went a weapon-r and it is fully adjustable.
And as far as your safc , you have 2 coil packs is why you have to set it on 2 cylnders.

I wouldn't do any tuning until you figure out the fuel pressure issue. Run a vacuum line directly from the intake manifold to the regulator and check it again. You also need to verify that fuel pressure is rising with boost.

So i pulled the vacuum line source for the fpr from the intake mani., and it still just sat there, so i put back on a stock fpr and it was working right, sitting at like 32 or so and pulling the line it would jump back at 39. how important is a aftermarket fpr right now. all im looking for right now is 18psi.
