Looking for an after market intake manifold to replace my stock one. Seeing if anyone could give me a heads up with wot to get and not to get. Tryin to get something with a like 10plus or so horse power and of course, something with style LOL..... thanxs

Well, unless you're running a 500ci V8, you probably never going to see an intake manifold give you 20hp.

Don't know what to tell you, OBX crap maybe? Search here and 2gnt for it before you buy one. Know what you are getting into.

You can port and hone your current manifold, and polish it, ya know.

You know what, never mind that, ^^^ I was thinking intake manifold for some reason. Unless you are.

Star Performance Stage II Turbo kit T3/T4,Polished Tial 38mm External Wastegate, HKS BOV, Custom exhaust manifold, Custom 2.5in Turbo Downpipe, Stainless High Flow Cat, Full Stainless 2.5in Catback Exhaust, Walbro 255 fuel pump, Bosch Platinum spark plugs, Universal Fuel Management Unit FMU, and a few other little things there and there but yeah. Does this help......

I would say do a little porting on the OEM manifold. There aren't really any good aftermarket intake manifolds out there for the 420a.

Crank the boost up, you wont be able to tell the difference. Forget that first sentence, take your intake Mani to a machine shop and see what they can do; you may also use a sand blaster or a chrome plate enamel to polish up your stock intake Mani.

Hmm. I must be losing it.

You may want to consider trying some NGK coppers in there. Your motor may be happier with them.

Ack, I dont want to imagine that. To polish cast materials, try starting with a wire wheel, a lot of sanding, followed by a vigorous buffing.

For your application I would recommend staying with the stock intake manifold. I would have the runners ported on the upper and lower and of course gasket matched. I would also recommend you getting a MP 60mm throttle body and boring the throttle body side of the intake manifold as close as you can without effecting the structural integrity of the piece, which i think is about 57mm. The reason i dont recommend boring your stock throttle body to 55mm is because after that its pretty thin and easy to crack with a t-bolt or worm clamp. Now if you want to go extreme you can have an extrude hone done as well and talk to paul (velocitapaola) about getting some phenolic spacers to decrease temps as well. If you did all that, you would definately have a top notch piece and u could probably have all that for the same price as a crappy obx or venom manifold.
