Need a favor from somone with a 1ga... real easy

Hey guys-

Im currently rebuilding a 6 bolt to put into my 2g, and I need to order a oil pump gasket... problem is my local dealership wont sell me anything unless I can get a VIN for them, so heres where the favor comes in.

I need to borrow a VIN from someone whos got a 1ga, or whos car cam stock with a 6 bolt bottom end so I can get the rest of the parts I need.

I found a vin on eBay.. forget it.

I hope he is, people post vins daily in search of a free carfax, ect.

If I still had CAPS I'd find the part number for you. I went through that plent of times doing my 6 bolt swap.


Don't forget a filter housing gasket as well.

You should blame the mitsu dealer for not wanting to help you without a vin number not us. Simply go up there tell them the year of the car the model and you can get what you need if they are a NORMAL dsm place.

That's my opinion but you should ask them why they need to have a vin to sell you a simple gasket.

Thanks.. I didnt see the big deal in it, but I guess others see it differently.

Anyways, I got a VIN and all the part numbers I need.. Incase anyone else needs them eventually, here they are:

Oil Filter Housing Gasket: MD149370
Front Case Gasket: MD149393

I agree, I dont understand why they wont sell me a gasket w/o a VIN either, but its the closest one to me, and its still around 45 minutes away, so rather than arguing with them, I figured Id just ask on here. I didnt realize people would be overly sensitive if I asked for a VIN number, since there used to be pages upon pages of Carfax requests on here.

But anyways, thanks AW4G63 for tryin to help me out.
