my new idea, porting 1g n/t intake

heres what i got. i got a adapter plate for a 75mm tb from edelbrock. what im gonna do is make the opening big enough for the 75mm tb where i can and the rest make it a transition. im gonna make it slope the air into the manifold. itll be larger then the stock tb but will fit a 75mm tb.

im gonan make it a smooth transition into the non/turbo manifold and itll push more air into the stock mani. then im gonne drill and bolt the adapter plate on. this will push a lot more air into the stock manifold but still keep some port velocity goin on. tommorrow im gonan be ordering the bit to port everythign out then im gonna port it all out. heres the comparrison to the 75mm tb to the stock 64mm n/t tb


there is enough room in the stock intake for this and will gain some good performance. itll still keep veloocity because the head will be stock ports along with the runners on the stock intake mani. all in all the mouth wont be opened that much and tapered in it should flow really good. well see when i get it done. heres 3 pics on the size and the taper in the stock mani

yea there is enough. barely. i can port it out then blend it into itself. kinda slope the 75mm into the mani. im gonna try it out. im buyin the bits tommorrow
