My 3rd gear

Ok my 3rd gear im thinking just needs new bushings. ok first off the gear doesnt pop out under pressure it doesnt grind putting it in. When I switch to 3rd gear and leave it there it wont stay in, I have to hold it in until i give the car gas so there is pressure on it. Is that just the bushing gone bad?

i would say your third gear is starting to go........ all i am sayin is start saving for a rebuild because when you lose third completely your probably going to want one

the gear is fine though it doesnt pop out or anything just doesnt stay in unless i give it gas, if I were to just switch gears and let out the clutch without doing anything else then it wont stay in.

Try the bushings. It's a cheap mod. No negative sides to it, either.
