mini shift light mount option

i had this really cool idea to mount a small shift light and wondering if anyone has done this?? on the 2g vent there is the three buttons the last one is empty thinking about drilling a hole through it and putting a small shift light there ive searched on ebay and they have a small autometer shift light and a mini msd shift light but both require a rpm switch but ive seen other members buy a cheap adjustable shift light taking the light off and wiring in another light which is what i was thinking this is the perfect spot for this easy to notice and that isnt being used........anyone???

no he has his where the ac controls are im talking about the ac vents you know the three buttons to the left of the vent? well the empty third one to become a spot for a shit light ive never seen it done

If I were to install a shift light I would put it in the vent like Gamble mentioned. That way its hardly noticeable until the light comes on.

Looks like it would be a good spot...although the space isn't that big.

I don't know how big shift lights are anyways, I just have an extra button there that used to be for hazard lights
