Garage is kept clean, space is limited, and the money is coming in on a weekly basis as I buy what I can afford. Sucks to here your block got crusty, but thats what oil is for.
I also labeled bags for bolts so I knew where everything went.
The 14b shown mounted is in dire need of a rebuild so I used it for mockup only. I hope to god the V-trim matches up to my custom made fmic pipes. I should have it all done and ready to fire up next tuesday. Wish me luck
Fast forward install was a PITA, I ordered an oil only cooled turbo and received a water an oil cooled turbo. This sucks because I'm not setup with provisions to a water a turbo anymore, but being the perfectionest I am and I went to a buddies and got a turbo main water pipe to water the snail. Ace hardware supplied the fittings needed. Went home spent hours upon hours getting the new turbo installed. Intercooler piping had to be extended.
Fast forward everythings togeather start it up. New lifters are clackin but its holding a steady idle. Check for leaks and dont see any, set the ignition timing and back out the driveway. (Bout time, I'm moving the day the turbo finally comes and its 10pm) Test drive went well, never shifted past 4500 rpms. Oil pressure is very good. Manual steering will take alot of getting use to. Combination of prothane motor mounts and no balance shafts will take some serious getting use to. Car runs decent except the fact I'm running a walbro 255 with no afpr. (Yes its rich as hell) Im also venting the bov until I can get up to the local motorsports shop and have a new intake pipe made, so I can recirculate. (One I made wouldnt fit) Im just moving into my house and dont have the garage space or the time to work on it. So far I got 20 good miles on the motor and so far everything is working as it should.
I know your oil pump has caused some issues... anything else causing any?nRFenix said:Anymore updates mike? Oil pump? AnythingI know your oil pump has caused some issues... anything else causing any?

Biss does nothing at all. The oil pump leak seems to have been fixed, but Im not 100% positive yet, Im kinda sick today and not gonna go out to the garage. Learning to get things tuned via AFC2 and logger is a new, but going well. I've got about 55 miles on the motor and just need to fix a few pin hole boost leaks in my intercooler piping and I should be ready to rock.blcknspo0ln said:try dialing in your TPS for that 2200 idle
