So after some seat time today, I tried to stay in first a bit longer to try and get the car to hook, well when I do that I misfire all the way down the track. I'm guessing since bouncing off the revlimiter that the method just overloads the cylinders? On the way back to the parking lot it clears up. Only happens when I bounce off the rev limiter. Any advice to stop that?

Well if you can live without the progressive controller you can wire up pump into the FPS or EGR and use the meth under DSMLinks nitrous control to deactivate it between shifts and on launch.

Log has nothing to do with it. Its not my tune or mishap its the math so saying while hitting fuel cut(rev limit).

I rather not do away with the progressive controller.

Anyway to keep the progressive controller and still use the secondary maps to disable it when bouncing off rev limit?

yeah just run a relay to the progressive controller power source. I am running 100% progressive, but I intend to switch to completely by relay, or at least this hybrid.

I assume it still functions fine even if the LEDs are blinking because it just switched off and then on real fast. I would say put the switch (relay'd to fpr or egr solenoid and use nitrous controls.) Put it on the negative/ground side, just for good measure.

Let me rephrase this. . .

This only happens when I am in gear and bouncing off the rev limiter (spinning). Not during 2 step.

This is not ment to be smartass or anything like that, I simply don't know you or your level of knowledge.

That being said what are more details of when this happens, are you wot? Have you tried reducing the amount of water/meth a small amount? Tried different proportions of water to meth? It sounds like its simply "loading up" (to use an ancient term) from trying to inject to much meth so logical step would be to pull back the meth some or lean out some fuel up top.

This happens when I bounce off the rev limit in 1st. Does not happen unless I bounce off the rev limiter. Havent tried it with other gears (had no need), but when I was at the track the past weekend, I was bouncing off the rev limiter, trying to get the car to hook, and when I shifted it, it "loaded up".

So you say to lean it out more up top? Currently afr's are about 11.6ish.

I have not seen your logs so I could only guess based upon how it sounds, but knowing where your afr's are now, I would try pulling some water/meth and adding some fuel to compensate.

Also if your wot on the rev limiter, try backing off some. It is your only hope for traction. Sitting on the rev limiter is only going to slow ya down, throttle control is key.

Actually, are your plugs gapped at .025 or are they wider? Might be worth closing the gap some or swapping plugs and seeing how it responds.

Well then at that point my only assumption left is that your heavy on the water meth. Got a slightly smaller jet or is it a fixed nozzle? Only reasonable suggestion left, based upon given info, is pull some meth and compensate with some fuel or at least a slightly richer meth to water mix.

Nozzel is a M8. Being pure M1, I would need to make it leaner, isnt that correct? My progressive controller is a max of 35psi, and that is where I am at boost wise :/

Yes it sounds like it needs some meth pulLed back, preferably only in first. That being said, if your at 35psi, I wouldn't feel safe at a 11.6 afr, but your the one responsible there.

Before pulling any meth, I would certainly richen it up.

Personally, I hate saying (blank) is your problem, as if it were fact, anytime it comes to tuning questions. Why? Well I grew up building and racing carbed small blocks, I put more weight on reading plugs than anything because that's what I first learned, but seeing your logs could quite possibly help solve your issue. Knowing your afrs and your at 35psi of boost, it sounds lean. Although the symptoms don't necessarily tend to agree.

First I would add fuel and see how it responds. If it acts the same or worse, start pulling meth and adding fuel to compensate. If this fails, its a spark issue, possibly old plugs, wires or coils getting weak. This is all assuming no knock. Hows your timing? Have you tried pulling some boost and adding timing? Not likely your cause, but at the moment these are only possibilities. Well other than backing off the throttle some and holding first until you can shift without bogging.
