MD vehicle registration fee

I just read an article stating that Maryland will most likely be raising its vehicle registration fees for cars from $81/2years to $128/2years. Trucks and SUV's go from $107/2years to $179/2years. They are expected to generate $148 million for the state. Wow, that makes me feel so much better.

Over $60/year so that they can spell your name wrong on the title? So that they can run the most notorious branch of government--the DMV?

I'm curious-what do you pay?

I'm not sure what my last fee was, I only register for one year since I have to do emissions every year anyway.

When i had my probe the only car i got from a dealer i was paying 150 every year. With the talon i am paying 75ish every year.

i hate md... i'm stationed here and i don't mind the registration fee but the strictness of the inital inspection is killin me!!!!! a 14yr old car tryin to pass on first go... forget it!!!!
