MBC Hose size matter?

Just wondering if the size of hose you use with a MBC matters at all. It came with some 4mm hose I think, but I had some extra colored 6mm that seemed to fit, so I used the 6mm hose. That shouldn't matter at all should it?

No, just make sure that the hose is strong enough so that it won't collapse down upon itself under vacuum. That would cause overboosting. Don't ask me how I know... :D

They are pretty thick and new, thanks though for the input, I will leave the bigger one on then.

Well, it's air volume. You're not so much concerned with flow as sensitivity. Until you get rediculous, smaller hose is a bit better- more accuracy in the signal transferrence.

Thanks for the reply, also one more quick one, does it make any difference if you get the pressure side from the line going to the BOV or from the compressor housing?

That's a can of worms. There are many fervent believers for both methods. I prefer the compressor housing, since it makes for shorter hose routing, which helps minimize boost spiking.

Okay well I don't want to start a debate, so I guess either way as long as it works right? Thanks again.
