i posted this in the tunning section and no response.
i need a datalogger and i've found many different brands all over the internet, but they are all pretty damn expensive.

i found a web site that sells what looks like the cable/interface one needs to connect a pda to the OBDII connector on a vehicle.
http://www.multiplex-engineering.com/products.htm

what all would i need to make my own connector thingy? i heard you need the T16-003 interface. would you just hook your hotsync cable right up to that interface? do you need another cable? Does anybody know if these work?

i think someone with the knowledge showld post a DIY how-to thing on here on how to make your own datalogger for a 2G for us broke ass DSMers. thank you very much for ANY help at all.

Matt

yeah, i've allready have different types of software i'm going to use.
i just wanted to know if the cable would work, instead of having to pay $180 if not more for a damn cable somewhere else.

what is some good software that you use?

thanks.

Just an FYI, ebay usually has cables that cost between $30-50. The software, MMCD, is free.

all the $30 cables from ebay are for 1g's. i need a 2g cable for OBDII.
but if those are 2g cables let me know where they are on ebay. thanks guys! :thumb:

where can i get MMCD at for free?

would everything work if i got the t16-003 interface?

does anybody know if this interface will work?
does anyone allready have it? what software to use?

thanks,
