2G Lowering Problem

Hi guys,

My car is not lowered, I have 18 inch rims but changing them to XXR 527 18x8.75 +35mm, planning on putting them with 225/40/18 tires. Ordered Megan Racing lowering springs which have a 2" drop.

Something I just noticed is this bolt on top of the the tires/rims I have now without lowering it. Won't this affect me when lowering it?

You will be just fine . you don't look low enough. It will make contact with the knuckle arm before that bolt. Yes it could cacth but unlikely. I run almost the same

The distance from your axle to the bolt head does not change with lowering springs. It's a fixed length not effected with lowering springs. Only larger diameter tires would cause you a problem with hitting that bolt/nut.

Phew! Thank you guys, was getting kind of worried after buying everything jaja.

Do you think I would need to roll the fenders?

Most likely with a full 2 inch drop just springs will make the car bouncy and you will need to roll them. I have the same wheel size except it is the xxr530 however i have coilovers which makes everything nice and stiff and i only rub on big dips in the road.

Might. Those springs are pretty weak & might not be able to stop your wheel before rubbing on bump.

Very nice! I wanted the same coilovers but there's an issue:

Re-sell: In my country there are around 10-12 Eclipse and the guys who have them, don't spend much money on it, so if for any reason down the line i would need to re-sell them it would be extremely hard. Since i'm not planning on selling the car, i will be purchasing them but the car has other priorities at the moment so the springs will have to do in the meantime jaja.
