Ive been working on my gsx for a while, i bought the car last May, Ive driven it three times and havent driven it since. I believe i blew the head gasket..it stutters at like 2000 rpm; blows a little bit of white smoke then black smoke comes out. Im looking for a good DSM mechanic in the tri state area, preferably South Jersey or Philly. If you are one or can refer me to one it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yeah from what i hear turbotrix is pretty bad. I go to ATX motorsports in bergenfeild, nj. Good shop and they only work on dsm's and sti's for the most part.

this is what you need to get and forget about the shops and save some money in a future:

1.Chilton Manual Book
2. a good set of tools
3. Dsm forum (dsmtuners.com)

Thanks guys i really appreciate the fast replies, im going to give both Dogbox Racing and ATX motorsports a call to see what they can do for me. I had another dsmer that was going to do the work for me but he is located 3 hours away and I wasnt looking to commute that far, so if there is any other south jersey or philly dsmers that would like to make a couple extra bucks and have some free time send me a pm or email me on [email protected] I'll keep the posts updated and hopefully be able to put some numbers up. Thanks again guys :thumb:

I called ATX Motorsports and they said they were open for wednesday or thursday but I wont be able to make it. It's still a 2 hour driver from where Im at so a local dsmer would deffinatly come in handy on this one haha. Hopefully 1fastlaser and I will be able to meet up since he doesnt live far away from me. Ill post when we get everything figured out and get going on this project

I dropped my car off at ATX Motorsports this past saturday..they're going to do a compression and leakdown test to really give them an idea on whats going on with my car. Hopefully she'll be back on the road soon. And Narv IS a great guy to work with, i'll deffinatly be taking my car and any future dsm's to there. Thanks again for the help guys
