Im going to run this BGII in the hopes that I might be able to solve this double clutch problem im having. Ive read some forums saying that it will work but i want to know the long term effects of using this fluid. Let me know how long youve used this fluid and if youve noticed any negative effects.

If you are using BG2 to fix a problem if won't fix it. It is just a bandaid to the problem and help stop the problem where it's at. It won't make your problem go away forever. Most people just think since there transmission grinds that by changing to this "miracle" fluid will replace the synchro's. I use it in my rebuilt transmission to help keep everything new and happy in there. I used it before that too and it helped with my grinding in 1st gear problem for a while but it came back after a while. It is a good transmission fluid and will help for a while and make the shifting feel better but it is not the answer to a clutch/transmission grinding problem.

This may be a bit off-subject but a well-known mechanic nearby my place told me I should only use 1 quart of BG-II and the other 2.3 quarts of something else, like Amsoil. I thought you could run a full fill of Syncroshift. Any takes?

You should NEVER mix any fluids. That is something that we learn in school. Mixing different fluids with different additive's that don't work together can make things even worse. That's what I have always been taught.

Tell me about it. I used the bg stuff and it did nothing with my grinding :|

On the way to get some bgII I didnt think i was going to make it. I could barely get out of neutral. I made it home drained and filled the tranny and it was like night and day difference. I dont know how long the band aid is going to hold up but atleast im driving so its serving its purpose. I wont use anything else but bgII after I get a rebuild or replacement thats for sure.
