Logger Question

Hey guys, quick question.
I have a 90 Eclipse fw turbo and when I hook a scanner to the obd port I get a communication error. Does this mean I could not hook up a logger??

do you have a mitsubishi scan tool? also do you have the key in the 'on' position?

Most of the OBD I DSM's have a problem with communication to the normal scanners like the snap on scan tool. The logger is your best bet if you want to read codes and clear them properly. We have tried to read codes off the 1g dsms with no success using the snap on scanner but have turned around and used a logger and gotten full access to the codes and to log with it with no problem. This doesn't work the same for the non turbo unfortunately but I have read the codes from a non turbo with the logger just not been able to log.
