someone told me that the 2nd gen FWD eclipses have limited slip. is this true, or is a peg leg?

every time I've launched mine, mine usually only leaves one black mark :( and for some reason my front right tire gets worn down a lot faster/more than my left ;)

LOL, i guess thats a no... do they get good traction or does it smoke the tires a lot?

Well with my 20g and street tires..........LOL

In all seriousness. Its all in how you launch it. You can either dump the clutch and completely torche the tires off (being bad on your clutch, tranny, and killing your tires) or you could ride the clutch out/slip it (meaning rev to what ever RPM you feel comfortable at and fastly letting the clutch out but not all at once) I've come to notice that slipping the clutch is a lot better since its not transfering all the power at once to that ONE wheel ;).

I know I'm going to get bashed saying well thats only going to burn your clutch up. And I will laugh. I have 93k miles on a OEM clutch and PP and have launched mine many many many many times and have just beat on my car period. Even with having a td06h 20g on 19lbs it still holds exactly like it should, engage like it should, and feels like a brand new clutch.

When I first bought my GS-T I thought it had limited slip since the engine was the 'higher performance' version. I was disappointed to find otherwise. I mean, when you bought say, a 'Cuda with a high performance engine in it (like a 440) the rear would be limited slip. Even though it was an option, it came with the car since it had a more powerful engine. I just don't get why Mitsu didn't include with the "GS-T" package. Could you imagine a 440-Six Pack 'Cuda trying to get traction with one wheel?!?
