I just installed my new lifters I took me about a week because I painted the valve cover and everything. I drained my battery when I was priming my lifters so I jumped it. Now I left the car running and went to get in it the windows were very slow and the lights were coming on. I had pulled a fuse to the ignition switch during the install. Any suggestions? Car is not charging my battery. BTW, the alternator is less than 2 months old.
thx

P.S. Every since my alternator install my brake light has been on.

Charlie,

Sounds like the battery might be toast. Re-check the connections to your alternator and see if those are correct just to be sure. Also make sure that all of your fuses are in good working order. Otherwise, take your battery to a local shop and have them check it. It may be too far gone to hold a good charge after being drained.

Let us know what you find,

Andy
