Ever since I went to DSMLink and started tuning my self I have had problems with knock. Depending on the tune it can be random and very hard to tune around. Today I went nuts and spent hours trying different things. Fuel has been tuned to be arouned 11:1. At 16 psi (haven't gone that low since I first put on the 16g years ago). I was able to be very aggressive and get 23 degrees of advance and a lot of timing all through the pull. Then upped boost to 18, had to pull timing all through the pull. Managed to get 21 or 22 degrees of peeking timing. Upped boost to 21psi, then I had to pull a lot of timing (6k is set to -1 on the slider) and I managed to get 17 degrees max. and that is at 6.5 or 7k. I didn't keep going higher, but boost above this I have to start pulling timing from the stock map. I think this is insane as I see people pulling off tunes like my 18psi tune when they are running low to mid 20s psi. Also, as the car is right now, a 3rd gear pull will yield no more than .7 degrees of knock retard, but if I do a long 4th or 5th gear pull it will get a little higher. Coolant temps are no more than 193-196 (usually lower than this). Intake temps aren't bad at all that I made a CAI (50 degrees or so). I have done everything, why would my motor be so touchy like this? I have always had this problem. Just want to get some ideas.

Are you using a wideband or the dsmlink a/f guesstimator? Can you post a log?

I've had wideband problems forever. I'm going move the sensor way upstream soon and change the sensor. I tuned the a/f on the dyno a few weeks ago.
