Just got thease manual doors ditching the whole power setup im wondering what the Power Everything doors weigh vrs the Manual doors in full trim.

I removed everything A/C today still waiting on the shift cables.

Removed the Whole cruise control system .

Removeing the power seat belts as we speak . Pic's inc LoL...



Also Just wanna say thanks to DSMTuners ... I pulled the ac bracket off and didint even think about the spacer on the A/C bracket

Honestly by picking them up i cant tell the difference i was thinking 5-8lbs maybe tops.

ok 5-10, 5-8 same thing. If you have a scale to weight your self. Weight your self holding one door at a time.

no doubt but i hate dsm power windows ... 1day they are great then the day they wont even work... + what ever makes the doors lock dose it when ever it feels like it ..

It was like this with the conquest also ... but i never had 1 problem with the colt ... MANUAL doors for the win!

not to sound like an ass but if you don't have a high hp car who cares. Your really only cutting a few 10th's of a sec off. I mean look at john shepherd talon dude has a full interior in the car. Tho hes on a much larger hp scale but still. I personally don't see the point to spend the time and money making and gutting a car just to loose few hundred pounds IMO and few 10th's of a sec. I could understand if you do it for a living for money and theres strict rules on weight.

I shaved 40lbs when I removed my AC system (compressor, lines, condenser, etc) yea, I even weighed it cause I was gonna ship it out.

Shep doesnt have full interior or even close... infact im almost positive he took out the factory dash this year. Its been a while since ive been to the shop but the car is way different now then it was back in 06. He didnt even touch the engine. I asked him if he planned on making more power this year and he said "Power was never the issue" Last time i was there he had a wheelie bar on the back of the car but i guess he changed his mind about that or hes just waiting to use it.
