ok first of all i did search and couldnt find the answer to my question. well i want to block off my isc and fiav, because my isc is screwed so instead of buying a new expensive one i was thinking bout this. but my question is i live in michigan and it gets really cold here, i kno blocking off the fiav will affect warm up and all. but will blocking off the isc also affect my car starting in the cold? and will it trigger a cel if i leave it unpluged. thanks for any help

Yes, blocking the ISC will cause all kinds of problems. Living in michigan you will not be able to start your car on cold days. I know this for a fact because I had an ISC fail on me and it was nearly impossible to start without it!

No CEL will be trigger its not a sensor the computer monitors!

Theirs a mitsu mechanic on ebay that rebuidds IAC's, he's pricey but gurantees them for a year.
