Sorry if i am posting in the wrong place. I dont know where to put this so please move
it accordingly. i am not trash talking so if something is inapropriate i will be happy to edit.
I'm not going to say the name of this vendor just yet because i don't know the rules with
this kind of thing.

12/31/04-I am shopping around online to find the lowest price for a Crower spring and retainer set. I decide to go with a vendor linked from this site. Online ordering is not yet available on their site, so i call and place the order. I am told that i will recieve the product in less than a week because they are drop shipping the order from a warehouse that is a whole lot closer to me than they are. OK thank you.

01/09/05-No package yet so i call the vendor around one o'clock. No answer. I leave my name< number, and situation. No call back today.

01/10/05-I call and leave my name and number again at one. No returned call today.

01/11/05-I call and leave my name and number again at one. The guy calls and wakes me up at 8:30pm to tell me that the part is on backorder, but it is childish of me to leave soo many messages and for that reason he does not want to deal with me anymore. So, he says, he is refunding my money to my credit card and we wont have to speak again. I say thats great just do that so i can buy it somewhere else. I check their website to find that they now have online ordering and they are having a sale. A sale on Crower spring nd retainer sets. :rolleyes: A sale on product that is on backorder? They must be messing with me however i dont care because they called and told me they are refunding my money.

01/24/05-A call to my credit card company reveals that i have not been refunded yet. I call the vendor to find out why. But no answer. I leave my name, number, and situation. No call back today.

01/25/05-call not returned
01/26/05-call not returned
01/27/05-call not returned
01/28/05-call not returned. Call my card company again, still no refund has come through. Call the vendor again and for the first time scince i placed the order someone answered the phone. He told me the part is still on backorder and he never said he was refunding me. I say, ok so cancel my order now and refund my money. he says, ok but there is a 20% restocking fee. I say, how can you hit me with a restocking fee for something you never had in stock? He says that doesnt matter and that fee is standard policy at any performance parts shop. I am not going to agree to an 80% refund. I ask how can you have a sale on something that is allready on backorder for someone. He says the sale started months ago. so why was i charged their regular price which was listed on ther site whenn i placed the order and not the sale price that is listed in their site now? my credit card statemnt proves that they are lieing. I keep my order because i will not accept a restocking fee. He assures me they will get the order in two days and they will overnight it to me. Somehow i dont believe that.

I think that this is fraud. They will prbably give me the runaround until i give them the 20%. what should i do? Should i call the attorney generals office?

BBB. This does sound rediculous and I would be pissed. PM me the vendor please.
 
No. Just no public bashings. Please PM me the vendor as well. I would also like to know this.

Edit : After checking over the rules again, it says "no accusations," but I'm not sure if the mods will take this as such, since you aren't calling anyone out or anything.

Either way, PM'ing the vendor name doesn't seem to be a problem. Your thread just may get closed.
 
ok. this is a true story and i have proof of it. i am not making an acusation or bashing anyone. it is an account of a bad experience i am going through with a vendor. so i think i can say that the vendor is (edit)
 
Sounds like something you should report to a moderator. I'm pretty sure they dont want to be linking to any shop that gives people that kind of crap. Also, dont use the shops name unless you post it in the vedor reviews forum.
 
If you dont get it this time by the time they say you are suppose to. Call your credit card company and dispute the charge. They will take care of you, and refund you 100%.
 
Please post this entire situation on vendors-reviewed.com. They allow you to use the name of the vendor and to describe the situation in detail. I would also like to know more about this scam artist, so post up over there.

I have experience in dealing with situations like this.
1. Contact your credit card company, explain the situation and dispute the charges. Your credit card company will talk you through the entire thing. They are actually very helpful when it comes to this.
2. Your credit card company will(usually) send you out a packed containing the proper forms to fill out.
3. Keep copies of everything(emails, etc) and times you have called.

If your credit card company agrees with you, they will refund you 100% and go after the vendor for their money back.
As they explained to me....Example would be visa. VISA gives you the money back. VISA then goes after the vendor to get VISA's money back. If they refuse, VISA can stop the vendor from ever being able to use VISA again......PER my credit card company.

In my situation I received a product from a company that took way to long to get to me. I said I wanted a refund. They shipped it anyway but the product was sub par...plain and simple,it looked like a 5yr old with a welder did the job.
Long story short, they refused to refund my money. I contacted my credit card company. Disputed it with pictures showing the item and pics from the vendors site...hehehe(kind of like going to a restaurant, seeing a nice juicy burger on the menu but when they serve it, it's not half as good as the picture.
Well I was refunded ALL my expenses....shipping(to me and return shipping), the product price, everything....no restocking fee either.

I would call them up and tell them to lick your balls and kiss your ass.

Then call your credit card company and dispute the charges....I too have done this a few times....your credit card company will definately be on your side.

It may take 30 days to get your money back but you will get it back.

It feels good to tell a vendor off as well. Dont just get punked...tell them you are going to spread the word about thier shit service and fraud like actions. Once they have pissed me off I am very rude and I vent on them. Its a beautiful thing.

vendor gave me a tracking # today. i was actually filling out the dispute charges form from mastercard when he called.
