it accordingly. i am not trash talking so if something is inapropriate i will be happy to edit.
I'm not going to say the name of this vendor just yet because i don't know the rules with
this kind of thing.
12/31/04-I am shopping around online to find the lowest price for a Crower spring and retainer set. I decide to go with a vendor linked from this site. Online ordering is not yet available on their site, so i call and place the order. I am told that i will recieve the product in less than a week because they are drop shipping the order from a warehouse that is a whole lot closer to me than they are. OK thank you.
01/09/05-No package yet so i call the vendor around one o'clock. No answer. I leave my name< number, and situation. No call back today.
01/10/05-I call and leave my name and number again at one. No returned call today.
01/11/05-I call and leave my name and number again at one. The guy calls and wakes me up at 8:30pm to tell me that the part is on backorder, but it is childish of me to leave soo many messages and for that reason he does not want to deal with me anymore. So, he says, he is refunding my money to my credit card and we wont have to speak again. I say thats great just do that so i can buy it somewhere else. I check their website to find that they now have online ordering and they are having a sale. A sale on Crower spring nd retainer sets.
A sale on product that is on backorder? They must be messing with me however i dont care because they called and told me they are refunding my money.
01/24/05-A call to my credit card company reveals that i have not been refunded yet. I call the vendor to find out why. But no answer. I leave my name, number, and situation. No call back today.
01/25/05-call not returned
01/26/05-call not returned
01/27/05-call not returned
01/28/05-call not returned. Call my card company again, still no refund has come through. Call the vendor again and for the first time scince i placed the order someone answered the phone. He told me the part is still on backorder and he never said he was refunding me. I say, ok so cancel my order now and refund my money. he says, ok but there is a 20% restocking fee. I say, how can you hit me with a restocking fee for something you never had in stock? He says that doesnt matter and that fee is standard policy at any performance parts shop. I am not going to agree to an 80% refund. I ask how can you have a sale on something that is allready on backorder for someone. He says the sale started months ago. so why was i charged their regular price which was listed on ther site whenn i placed the order and not the sale price that is listed in their site now? my credit card statemnt proves that they are lieing. I keep my order because i will not accept a restocking fee. He assures me they will get the order in two days and they will overnight it to me. Somehow i dont believe that.
I think that this is fraud. They will prbably give me the runaround until i give them the 20%. what should i do? Should i call the attorney generals office?
