Okay so i have a 97 gsx and for about 2 months now when i make left turns the clutch depresses and doesnt come fully up. Yes i know its a sign of crankwalk and you all are gonnna say crankwalk but i have no other signs of it. I was wondering if there is any other possible thing that this could be before i start to cry???????????

Yes only on left turns...after the turn i go to press the clutch in and it doesnt come all the way back up, it does move up alittle however.

I suppose on some freak chance it could be the clutch master/slave cylinders

But yea, crankwalk.

I honestly dont know anything else that it could be. You should get that checked out regardless..

try going to a really quiet place like a parking garage and listen carefully to your car, if you hear a ticking that increases its sound when you push the clutch in, thats another sign of the dreaded c word

Also.. depress the clutch and check if your rpms drop significantly, another telltale sign.

I wouldnt say that if you dont get these signs that you dont have cwalk, but i can def. tell you that if you do, that you do have it. Check your thrust bearing as well, if its faulty, your in the weeds, if you catch cwalk early you can change the bearings and save your motor, dont waste time!

Have you measured for play? If not do that first before you assume.

I listened in a really quiet place that picked up echos and noticed no ticking. I also am not gettin a decrease in RPM's when the clutch is in. I have had this left turn problem for about 2 months now and its inconsistent on some left turns it does it and others not and it doesnt depend on what gear im in or how hard the turn is. I think im gonna have to bring her in and pay some cash to get her checked out but i wish i could feel less worried that i have crankwalk.
