I have an EPROM factory ECU, since I bought the car, it has not revved past 4K, and overheats rigth away. If my ECU is bad could i cause this??- It boggs and doesnt accel at 2000rpm, and then 2.5K it revs to 4K then it looses all power, and starts to overheat. I have already blown and replaced an engine due to this, after the new engine, The problem is still there??-could it be the ECU ????

I'm not going to say I think it is your ECU but I would definitely rule that out as a problem by putting in a known good ECU (possibly from a good friend), and see what happens. If the known good ECU doesn't help, I would hook up a datalogger and check for codes, then see what your timing is doing and what kind of readings your getting from your MAF sensor. I believe 95's have a MAP sensor, that would be another thing to check, sometimes when they go bad they can cause similar problems.

Also your driveability issues and the overheating problem may be caused by 2 totally different problems.

If your ECU is bad, I've had good luck with Motoguy's garage on Ebay, they sell and repair EPROM ECUs.

A friend of mine's girlfriend's Jeep had a similar problem. It turned out to be a really bad catalitic converter. She couldn't rev it past 5k. Just unhook the downpipe from the catalitic converter and see if it helps it out. Might not be the problem but its worth a try.
