Is it worth the rebuild?

sooooooo i was leaving school last week friday, backed out, threw her into first and started driving away. I wasnt driving like a maniac or anything like that, just NORMAL driving. pushed the clutch in, shifted to second and before i could even let the clutch out the entire car SHUT OFF COMPLETELY.

towed it, waited over the weekend.
the verdict came today,
EVERY VALVE IS BENT. AWESOME. ####ING CAR JUMPED TIMING.

i just rebuilt the head about 1300 miles ago, and about a week ago had about 800 worth of service done to it only to get it back thursday night and have it break friday morning. how cool is that...

If I counted the number of times I thought I had gotten something working only to have it or something else break immediately afterwords, I'd ask myself why I still own a DSM.

It depends on how much you love driving YOUR DSM. I promised everyone when I started moding mine that I'd rebuild the motor before I got rid of it. Plus do you really have the cash for a new car?

I'm rebuilding my head with new valves and I don't expect to break 500 when I'm done and have it back in the car. But I'm doing nearly all the work.
