Hey all, I'm a DSM'er here in the IE San Bernardino. I have 4 1g's (only 1 running LOL) so I have a nice bit of replacement parts and some aftermarket, including a rebuilt MHI 16g, FWD exhaust and some other stuff...

It wud be nice to meet up with some kool DSM'ers in the close IE area...maybe even someone who can help me with my DSMlink :D go to car meets and stuff like tht

LOL well thanks man. Im not new to tuners, I just never post anything. :) but umm yea me and my buddy went before to that meet I believe when I had a white 2g... I dnt recognize your car tho...
 
I haven't been in while. I live in perris, off the 215 and van buren. I want to organize a meet out here. Ran into a few dsmers.
 
Ive met a few tht bought parts off me, theres a lil group out there. Check craigslist, thts how Ive been meeting people. LOL but URMOMSANICEGUY if you get a GOOD meet going, Ill probably come thru.
 
Well I work in riverside and live in running springs (by big bear), as far as what's wrong with the car well it needs an engine LOL. I do still have the spyder that I'm DD right now but I don't like to drive it

The GS has a 420a in it tho :/

I'm debating on what I'm gonna use to rebuild it now, weather it will be forged or stock I'm planning an boosting but only 8-10 lbs at the most
 
Personally my cousin had a Honda turbo and the max he got was 8psi. When he went to 10-12 the bottom end was toast. So I would go forged with a lower compression and arp head studs. Better to be safe than sorry.
 
Also socal there is a place in san berdo called southwest motors. They have been around since my pops was a kid. They rebuilt my old 420a motor and did a hella good job and reasonable on price. I'll try and find the number and post it.

Thank you for the advice and the # I have no problem building the engine myself I work for a perfomance shop and all we do is high performance work and restorations so its no big deal to build it myself.

As far as the honda goes I had a single cam civic that I bosted 18-20 lbs on with a stock bottom end and it did well for a while for me, I'm just trying to figure out what the weak link is on the 420A I don't want to go overboard if its not needed seeings how a stock rebuild will be about 500 and forged internals will double that price LOL
 
Yeah you probably had the zc motor LOL. But the 420a is a Chrysler motor so its a weak link itself LOL. I would say go for the forged just to play it safe.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking but my wallet isint wanting to agree with that.

And yeah I'm slowly figuring out that the 420A is just a turd motor, looking to maybe do the 2.4 swap but not sure about that yet either

We have a great group that's expanding ( we have a crew of about 30 DSMs that actually show up to the meets) so if u are on FB hit me up and ill add u to the Nland DSM group. :D

Parents divorced but my Dad is still up there. What part of Running Springs are you at? I may roll up there after my talon gets fixed. We should have a mini meet :D

I lived just off the 330 and live oak.

I'm actually living back down in Riverside now tho.
