OK, I'm running a '92 Laser N/T.

Currently I have Accell 8mm wires (free), SplitFire plugs, a K&N air filter, I'm putting on a set of OBX Racing 4-2-1 headers ($155, not too bad), probably gonna do a 2.5" completely open exhaust (no cat just Meineke-style 2.5" pipe) to a Ractive Straight-through muffler (free) and I'm getting an E-Bay hardpipe with silicone couplers to replace the accordian hose intake tube ($30).

I'm thinking about getting a turbo intake-side camshaft, as I read in the turbo conversion thread the K model of the 4G63 has them in it, and it's turning what, 167HP?

What I wanna know is if I put the turbo camshaft in there, will the stock injectors work well with it? Or should I go with the A/T 290ccs, or some aftermarket 310ccs? I can't seem to find 300cc low-impedance injectors anywhere.

I am looking to keep it inexpensive too, as I don't have too much to spend, and a turbo cam shouldn't be that expensive.

Any other suggections to help bump the performance quotient up a bit without spending too much? I was thinking about getting a used turbo setup but it's just beyond my means right now.

Right now im running an hks 264 cam 2.5in exhaust no cat intake and udp and i am still on the stock 240cc injectors i think it will be fine but i was considering automatin turbo injectors which are 390 no 290 i believe but i believe you have to get a bigger fuel pump then something to contol the amount of fuel i think not sure but the stock fuel pup can handle 320cc injectors im not posative on this stuff so dont yell at me if im wrong but thats what i have learned from other posts. :laser:

thats interesting, can anyone confirm that our cars can handle up to 320cc injectors with stock pumps, i would like to know this....

I didn't know quite where an injector question would go (since I had asked about both turbo and non-turbo injectors). Sorry if it's not the right place.

k, i was told to get 93 94 turbo cam's. I got some 93's and realy didn't see a diffrents in my opinon it's about more air. made my own cai and seem to do a little better as injectors keep stock one's they will be fine. You can try and forse all the gas you want but will it burn? will you gain probly not! don't get hyped up on the little stuff do that when you get better inturnals. I might be wrong thats just my opinion. brian

Ice in the the post down it tells about fuel pumps and injectors same with you pyrodox. Also doug how is this the wrong fourm if i may ask i thought it fit?? :laser:

Actually Mike, For me, there is no post on injectors under his... I am doing a search for it, but if you would, do find the link and send me it, it would be much obliged, but I too am looking into stuff even though I am only a 1g Non Turbo, I have been playing with internals and what not and need to see what all I need to upgrade to run the times I want to run.

How are the gains from the cam/udp? I'm not really going crazy on this car right now, but I'm just looking for a little extra power.

I'm currently thinking about going with cams (turbo or maybe aftermarket ones if I can afford them in the future), the intake/exhaust setup I have now, a UDP and maybe eventually 10:1 forged pistons and probably something like an ACT2100 clutch.

Like I said I don't wanna go crazy with it right now, I know it's pretty tame being a N/T and all, but I'd like to be able to handle Civic SIs and such as most people around here "mod" their cars with body kits, "aerodynamic" wings and muffler tips, and just about everyone has a Honda.

the under drive pulley made more of a difference than the cams but i have yet to get the cam gears adjusted for more power and ive herd of some people get up to another 15 hp im hoping 7-10. there was a very noticeable difference when i put in the hks 264 intake cam tho i got a really good deal on mine though that why i bought them got the hks 264 intake cam and obx adjustable cam gears with the turbo exhaust cam same as non turbo for 200 with about 600 miles on them froma local dsm whose all motor project crapped out. hopefully this spring i can take her to get tuned on the dyno and get some number dont have the money right now.
Doug, there is are separate 1gnt and 2gnt sites now??? why did they switch it from all nt to separateing them i didn see anthing about it changing. :laser:

Thanks mike... I needed that because I plan on adding more air to the engine, turbo intake cam, bigger solid air intake... thinking i might mod it to be ram air... so i needed that info, thanks for that.
