Edmonton,
There are 2 different types of injectors on Ebay - RC and PTE... Difference is about 50U$ for the same flow-rate. with RC being more expensive... Which ones are used for what? i.e. which ones are better?

Also, my turbo-dodge buddy knows a guys who sells slightly used injectors that are +40%. How much is it in cc's ? and can I use injectors off the turbo-dodges (daytona etc) on DSMs?

40% in relation to what? I have rc 550's and pte 650's. Ive used both, no difference really, both worked. Rc's look a little strange but are a good quality injector, as is pte.

Apparently, the way turbo dodge guys talk about injectors in term "how much more flow compared to stock ones". So 40+ would stock*1.4 ... i was hoping someone would know for sure...
TSIMonster, so pick a flow rate and look for the best deal... no matter RC or PTE?
Can someone at least tell me what those letters stand for?
Thanks

Well they dont stand for anything exciting but here ya go.....;)

RC = Russ Collins ( owner of RC eng.)

PTE = Precision turbo and engine ( just a co. name)

Also if you go this website. It doesnt tell you what you are looking for exactly. However it does tell you how much HP each injector supports.

Oh, and for the original poster, be aware that PTE injectors are rated with a base fuel pressure of 43.5 psi.

Ehhh... Can you please elaborate on that one...?
Or, just tell me how big of a fuel pump to buy...

It just affects how you tune for the larger injectors, depending on what device you are using to compensate for the larger injectors. I believe that on a 1g, your base fuel pressure is 38psi. This means that the PTE injectors will act like something less than 1000cc injectors at that base pressure, unless you turn up your base fuel pressure to 43.5psi. I use the 1000cc PTE injectors in my 1G, and with the AEM EMS it is easy to adjust the fuel map for these injectors, simply by inputting the fuel pressure at which they are rated to flow 1000cc's.

Alright....I did some quick math so here it goes...
for 525cc injectors, PTE claims at 90% IDC they are good for 90 HP/cylinder...so that means that my stock 450cc's should run me right around the 250-275HP rating...correct? Of course, PTE uses these values off of 43.5psi instead of out factory 38psi, but if i were to bump up the pressure to 43.5 and still use my 450cc's will i be able to see the 250-275HP ratings, or is this just overrunnning the stock injectors. Any help in this topic would be greatly appreciated.

The industry standard is to test the injectors is usually at 43 psi, PTE test them at an even higher pressure. For example thats why they rate one of their injectors at 780 & the exact same injector from FIC is a 750. In the above post that was said the injectors are rated at what they flow above factory, you said 40. So if your talking %, 40% is ~ a 750cc injector.
