HELP!

Alright so i was driving my 93 talon tsi and for some stupid reason i kinda shifted from 4th to 3rd gear goin about 80mph. The car redlined and shut down. There was no noise and no smell comming from the engine but i found that my timing belt was shredded  The front gear moves freely but the back one dosnt.
Any possible way the the engine is alright or am i looking to do a engine rebuild.
Thanx to anyone with an opinion.

man thats discusting, i crinched as i read it. the reason your exhuast cam spins freely is because there are no valves contacting with pistons, any more. you allready did this and probably ruined half the head and all this other great shiznet in there. long story short if your pistons made it(unlikely) then you need just a rebuilt head/or new one. if your pistons took damage then you need a rebuild of the motor. sorry dude. also dont spin the cams with out moving the crank!
you need to take everything apart to determine how much you need to fix/spend.
good luck, you'll need it!
